Is God convicting you of something. If you want to become saved and go to Heaven when you die, repeat this prayer.
Dear Lord, I'm sorry I sinned. Please come into my heart and be my friend. Thank for making a way into Heaven for me. Thank you for caring and loving me and forgiving me when I sin. I pray that you will be with me with everything I do. In Jesus name. Amen
Now don't you fell better. God has a plan for you to take care of you. He will give you the desires of your heart if you seek Him first....
Being the first week of actual teaching against worldly teaching, I thought that we needed to start off with Salvation. Now if you read this thinking that it's a bit off, well that's probably a good thing. If you thought that that is the way it should be, well this one's for you.

Contrary to what many churches now teach, and what many people in the world believe, Salvation is not a one time prayer. The first evidence of this comes in Romans 10:9-10,
if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.
if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.
"Confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord." Notice how the Bible separates "Jesus is Lord." It's not just a confession that people do to get a lesser sentence, or even one when his guilt has caught up to him and doing it because he sees no other way out of his problems. The confession that is talked about here is an absolute belief, the confession of a guilty party no doubt, but a confession of knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is true. A real true confession, proving your belief in Christ, resulting in being righteous before God. These are clearly not idle words, spoken just to be spoken, they are a testimony of who God is. The second part of this verse is sadly overlooked when altar calls are given. "Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead." Very powerful words for us to look at. Without that resurrection, Christ does not have the authority to save us from our sin. There could not be salvation without it. He has power over Death, and that is was what our salvation is. Salvation means to be saved from something, and ours salvation is from Death as well. He has given us power over Death.
Now, to have this power over Death, we need to have power over what causes it. Death doesn't come from sickness, injury, or even age. All of these things are only side effects of what causes Death. Sin. The leading cause of Death. A common problem in the modern day church is that sin isn't rebuked. Whether it's Stealing, coveting, gossip, homosexuality, lust, or even murder. It's all the same to God. A sin is a sin to God's eyes and that sin separates us from God and we are no longer Holy before Him. When this happens, we must repent of our ways, and call upon the name of the Lord. In the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches in Revelations, he tells four of the churches specifically to repent from their ways. All of them were doing good and have amazing qualities and were going through trials without breaking, but they all had something that was ungodly, and so they are told that they must repent. The consequences are HUGE for those who don't repent all of their sins, and give them up. To repent isn't just saying that you're sorry, it goes beyond that. It is acknowledging that you are doing wrong, and turning away from what it is that you are doing. Here's the clincher, you must turn away from all sin. Every bit of it. There is no such thing as "partially" or "mostly" saved. It's all or nothing. So if you're not going to give up all of your sin, then you may as well give none of it up. God isn't going to reward your "good" deeds if you still have sin. He won't take it into consideration to overcome your addiction to gossip on the Day of Judgment. You have done nothing good or worry of salvation.

Everyone has turned aside: they have all become corrupt. THERE IS NO ONE WHO DOES GOOD, NOT EVEN ONE. Psalm 53:3
We have never done anything good. So we must do the only thing that can make us righteous. The one thing Christ told us to do repeatedly in the Bible. Turn away from your sin. There will be those who have done great things in the name of Jesus,
Another fact is that we don't get "Jesus in our heart" by asking Him to just come in. NO! The thousands of Sunday School children who believe that they have Christ in their heart because of a prayer they said once upon a time is astonishing, and saddening. That is not the correct order.
Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. On that day many will say to Me, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, do many miracles in Your name?' Then I will announce to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!' Matthew 7:21-23
but they do not get into Heaven. There will be those who prophesy, Heal, and perform miracles, that Jesus will cast away. These people will have done "good" things, but they have not done the will of God. And without God, nothing is good.

"Repent, and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38
How many of you, would go to someone's house for the first time, when it is full of rotten vile filth, and really just a pig sty that you're more likely to catch a disease then have a good time? Then why would you ask Christ to do such a thing. You must repent from your sin. This cleans out your heart from all that filth. Then the Holy Spirit can dwell in it. He doesn't come in and cleans it up for you. No, he comes into a clean heart, of someone who has turned away from his sin. Now this does not mean that we will never sin again. However, is does mean that he will be there, convicting us of it, so that we may repent of it, once again, and learn what it is that we are doing wrong, so that we may better serve God. Now, to go and continue to live a life of sin is out of the question. Because to truly repent, is to truly turn away from that sin in our lives. A man cannot say that he has repented, but is still not ready to give up his lustful thoughts and woman that she has repented, but will not stop gossiping. Repentance has not happened in lives like that. A man who struggles with lust, and a woman with gossip, but is truly sorrowful for their ways, who wish to honour God completely by removing it from their lives, but still fall into the trap of their sin, are people who have repented, but who still have a sinful flesh, that is trying to lead them to their death. Thankfully we have a God full of grace who sees our struggle and grants forgiveness whenever we truly repent of our sin.
Jesus you are my best friend....
AND YOUR KING AND THE VERY CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE!
Every time I hear a speaker during an altar call, that Jesus wants to be their friend, and don't mention the fact that He is the Almighty Lord of the Universe, it makes me cringe. Now don't get me wrong, he is a friend who is "closer than a brother," but he is also "the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the King of kings and the Lord of lords." And we have the privilege of serving Him. It's not the other way around. Salvation isn't a magic ticket that now we have smooth sailing on the high seas of God's abundance because He gives us the desires of our hearts. How foolish can some be? Jesus tells us that we will be hated because we follow Him. Matthew 10:21-25 talks about this. If they hate our master, how can they not hate us? They put Him on a cross, why should we expect anything less? And we should rejoice because of this! They did it to our master, and now they think us enough like Him that they do it to us. What an honour. To serve our God unto even death. Now, if we honestly seek after God, and we make our heart like His, then when we get the desires of "our" heart, it will be the desires of a heart that is in tuned with His. It will be what God desires us to have to effectively serve Him. The passage is not talking about giving you your hopes and dreams, and setting you up with all the things you want, it is talking about giving you hopes and dreams, and giving all you want to use to serve Him. Everyone has has things that they want, and do, but by becoming saved, you are not ensuring that you will get all those things, it will ensure that you will get all God knows you need. You will never be in want, so you never need to worry about wanting anything. You should feel blessed for what God has given you. You should feel blessed that God has called you. You should feel blessed that you can serve God. And you should serve God, even if it did not mean Heaven, even if after you were laid to rest, you became maggot food and a memory, even if this life didn't have any significant meaning afterwards, you should still serve Him and feel blessed. Even if God sent you to Hell, you should still serve Him. And feel blessed. After all, He did it to Jesus Christ our Messiah, Lord, and Saviour. It's not about you.
You don't hear that on a Sunday morning now do you?
We were dirty, rotten, filthy, detestable, disgusting slime. Then Jesus made a way that we may be washed white as snow, and all you have to do is serve someone, who cares more about you then you do yourself, and turn away from the very things that causes death in your life. Yet so many people hold onto it. The Bible says, "... Whoever wants to be the world's friend becomes God's enemy." James 4:4
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is [your] Lord", and believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead, you WILL BE saved.
Put your trust in Him
Turn away from ALL your sinful ways
And praise Jesus that He has conquered Death.

Shouldn't be that hard? And remember, the Holy Spirit, is there to comfort, guide, and correct those who call upon the Lord and do His will.
So, in summary, what is Salvation?
Here is a summary.

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I Believe You died for my sin and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven.
I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Saviour and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that please You. Thank You, Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen.

Now that you have said those words. Living a life worthy of pleasing God. Stay away from your past sins. Remove anything from your life that would cause you to fall. Remember the gift He gave you on the cross, and the victory He won rising from the grave. And most of all, serve Him. Serve Him with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength, with all your soul. He will be there with you to guide you. God loves you, and He will never stop loving you, and He shows us this by not allowing sin into Heaven with you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
