Day 26 of 40. Hell ain't no party

I am sure many people have heard the saying "I rather party in Hell, than serve in Heaven." The idea being that since Satan and sin allows everything "fun" and "cool" that somehow it means we can do what we want, where it is allowed. While leaving a godly life is dull and boring. That we are somehow slaves in Heaven, forever serving God's every whim. A bartender I worked with, longingly described how eager she was to party with all the rock greats, destined for Hell. If only they would read the truth for themselves.

The Bible makes it very clear. In Hell, we are enslaved. Bound, tormented and burning. Where every misery and pain will be. While in Heaven, we are called to be rulers. There are twelve seats open to judge the nations. We will judge the angels. We aren't joint heirs, Princes and Princesses, along with Christ. Our God is king and the kingdom is ours.

This false idea is not just sad, but terrifying. There's an often quoted fact, that Jesus talked more about Hell than Heaven in the Gospels. Yet, many sects of Christianity completely deny that an eternal punishment exists. They claim that an all-loving God could never do that.

But what about a perfect judge? Because God is that as well. Every sin, every wrong will be brought into account. Not only deeds but thoughts as well. And because God is holy, He cannot be around even the smallest amount of sin. So all sin and those who are still bound by sin will be cast from His presence.

There will be no party in Hell. I doubt there will be music at all. Instead, the Bible says there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. It will be torment. The rockstars and all others who got to live it up, received their rewards here on Earth. Don't be like them. Instead, look to Heaven and for eternal rewards, instead
